Circleville Pumpkin Show
Background: Where I Found My Start
The Circleville Pumpkin Show was more than just another fall festival — it became the starting point of everything that would shape my journey in video production. I had never been to the Pumpkin Show before. What began as a simple BPA project quickly turned into my first real attempt at creating a full video production from start to finish.
With no roadmap and no prior experience at that level, I learned how to film in crowds, find meaningful moments, and tell a story through a lens. It was the first time I realized how powerful video could be when it captures real people and real tradition.
That project didn’t just stay local. It took me all the way to California, where I accepted an award for my work and represented it at a convention center booth. Standing there — surrounded by professionals, students, and creators — I saw what this path could become. It was the moment when filmmaking shifted from a school assignment to something I genuinely wanted to pursue.
Today, that project is a reminder of where JEStudios began: with curiosity, creativity, and the courage to try something new.
It’s more than my first festival video — it’s where my passion found momentum.
It’s where the story truly began.
