Old Colony

Christmas Light Contest

Background: Lighting Up Community Spirit

The Old Colon Estates Christmas Light Contest began as a simple idea — to bring neighbors together, celebrate the season, and spread joy throughout the community. What started as a small, festive competition quickly grew into a cherished annual tradition, with families eagerly decorating their homes, walking the streets, and sharing in the holiday spirit.

Behind the scenes, every detail is crafted with care. From securing local sponsors for prizes to designing the website, flyers, banners, and promotional materials, the contest is built on creativity, organization, and a love for community. Every sign, every light, every shared smile contributes to something bigger: a sense of connection and celebration that touches everyone in the neighborhood.

The Old Colon Estates Christmas Light Contest isn’t just about decorations — it’s about creating memories, fostering community, and bringing the magic of the season to life. It’s where holiday cheer doesn’t just happen. It’s where it shines.
